Mission Statement
On February 28, 1993 the United States Government surrounded the Branch Davidian Mt. Carmel compound in Waco, Texas and began assaulting the members of a peacefull religious community.
Some 700 Law Enforcement Officers were deployed around the compound ............ the F.B.I. had sent 250 agents , the A.T.F. commited 150..............additionally there were officers from the Waco Police , U.S. Customs , The Texas National Guard , and the U.S. Army.
The Mt. Carmel Compound was surrounded with U.S. Army battle tanks , Rocket Helicopters , and armoured Police cars. Tear Gas cannisters , Assault weapons , and psychological tactics were used against David Koresh and his Branch Davidian community.
On April 19, 1993 the entire Mt. Carmel compound went up in flames , killing Koresh and most Branch Davidian members.
In February 1993 , before the A.T.F. assault , the community had around 130 members , including 45 women and 43 children.
During the assault , and in the final conflagration, 80 community members died , including 33 women ,26 men and 21 children .
5 men and 1 woman died on february 28.
35 exited during the seige, including 9 women , 5 men and 21 children.
83 members remained inside to the very end, including 35 women, 21 children and 27 men.
32 women {including two, which were pregnant} , 21 men and 21 children , a total of 74 died on April 19, 1993.
9 members survived the April 19 fire , including 6 men and 3 women.
