Goliath
David and Goliath were arch enemies. Young David was only a teen with just a slingshot and Goliath was a nine foot tall Philistine giant equiped with a sword and a shield.
We've all seen this before .......the school bully beating up the younger freshmen for his lunch money or street gangs ganging up on an innocent pedestrian.
The story is usually the same ..........the bad guys get away with the money and the small guy gets robbed.
The story of David and Goliath is different in the aspect that Goliath is slain of a single stone by David's slingshot.
The story of the A.T.F. {goliath} vs. KORESH {david} is remarkably similar in the sense that the Government agents that surrounded the Branch Davidian compound were much more sophisticated that David and his students. The Davidians were barely able to defend themselves against the tanks and helicopters that the A.T.F. {goliath} were using against them, but like the young David of old , the Branch Davidians had something on their side that the Government did'nt......GOD.
With God on are side , anything is possible . God is strong and able to fight for us , like he fought for David against Goliath. Therefore we trust God always that he will protect us and see us thru.
When the A.T.F. surrounded the Mt. Carmel compound in 1993 David prayed to God that God would help him , and God gave David his instructions. God wanted CNN , God wanted Newsweek , God wanted national coverage by the media. God wanted to be known and to be heard. God told David to remain inside untill these requirements were met.
Why ? Because , in God's wisdom he knew that KORESH would soon be slain and did'nt plan on letting the world forget it. God knew that soon after this event that a season of silence would have to pass, and God wants KORESH remembered. God wanted national attention first so that he could reveal to the world then as well as much later who David was.
David did as God instructed and soon the news magazines and news programs were monitering the events of the seige on a daily basis. God knew that in the future people would have to look back , and wanted them to have something to look back at.
The Bible says that after these events there were the souls of those slain heard crying underneath the alter of God. God told these souls to wait yet a little season , and their was a space of silence in the heavens for the space of a half an hour.
God wants a period of silence before sending his two eye-witnesses to give their testimony.
But first , God wants their to be something to testify to. So , this is why he instructed KORESH to remain inside the Mt. Carmel compound untill the media recognized what was going on. God wanted to make his sacrifice a well known event.
However , unlike David and Goliath , at least in the physical sense , Goliath was not killed but rather wounded in a spiritual sense , so that when the two eye-witnesses do come , they should wound the Beast {christendom} even further so that KORESH can be revealed.
It is not God's intention that KORESH should be forgotten, but rather cut off or sealed up untill his witnesses re-unseal the little book that David broke the SEVEN SEALS off of in the first place. So what then , did God fail because David died ? No , not hardly. God cannot fail because he's the planner of the ages. But rather God caused that David be slain of a governmental beast to pave the way for the coming of his eye-witnesses , who should be annointed in the image of KORESH and shall eat the scroll of the little book when The Second Divine Manisfestation of Koresh takes place.
Then GOLIATH {A.T.F.} shall recieve his wound in full , and God will have accomplished his Mystery.
God is a God of mysteries and reveal his mystery to those who seek his truth. Therefore as Branch Davidians , we prayerfully wait for God to send us his messengers to reveal further truth to us.
