Book of Job
Job was a man who was blameless before GOD. He was upright and without sin before the Ancient of Days. He had a simple life......., a wife , sons, daughters , oxen and sheep. He observed the sabbath and kept the commandments of GOD.
Like David , he was persecuted unjustly , yet remained faithfull to GOD , even to the very end. He had everything a man could want ...... and it was all suddenly taken away from him ......... yet he did not curse GOD.
Like Job , Koresh had finally achieved a group following and difficult to earn respect . He was a band leader and a property owner , yet soon enough , however , this would all be taken from him. But like Job , he did not curse GOD , even unto the very end.
God wants us to be more like Job and his rightious messenger David. Koresh set an example to us of obedience , as he followed God's instructions to the very end , and did not disobey. God wants us to keep his commandments and trust him , even in situations were it seems like God has left or betrayed you.
There's no doubt that David felt confused in God's instructions during the seige . Allthough he was persecuted to the death , he waited on God and remained faithfull to his SEVEN SEALS message, even to the very end. This is the type of behaivior GOD wants from us..........to remain true to God's wishes , even in moments of confusion or doubt.
" Now , there was a day , when all of the sons of God came to present themselves before the Ancient of Days, and Satan came also. And God said to him , " Where comest thou ?" And the Devil said " From going to and fro about in the earth and walking up and down it it ."
" And God said again to him , " Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in all the earth , a perfect and upright man ?"
" And the Devil saith , " Put forth thine hand and touch him , and see if he curses you to your very face".
" And God said "Very well , go your way Satan , but take not his life , for it is in my hands ". And the Devil departed from him."
Eventually , all Job had was taken from him..........his wife , his children , his livestock..........everything , but his faith in God.
Like Job , David knew he had to remain faithfull , even during a time of tribulation when ones faith can grow weary. This is what God wants from us too , Faith , dedication and submission.
David submitted to God's instructions and God gave him a REVELATION of himself , and set him on the path to accomplish a very difficult task. David's mission was to do more than explain the SEVEN SEALS , but to fullfill them. After David had accomplished God's will , God allowed the Devil to overcome him and persecute him , even to the very death , in the form of the A.T.F.
Like Job , David felt bewildered and very confused , yet he kept his faith in God and remembered what God had told him.
......................This is what God request from us. Be faithfull , even unto the death , like David , his rightious messenger. Be thankfull , even in times of persecution.........and last but not least , keep all his commandments , even during times of tribulation.
